CCUC Worship Arts

As part of the CCUC Worship Arts Ministry (WAM), we want this web community to promote a culture of encouragement, love, and continued growth in our God-given gifts. Providing feedback to each other and learning to receive constructive feedback will promote this culture.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another – Proverbs 27:17

Goals

• to provide a channel for receivers of art to give feedback
• to recognize what is done well
• to provide a channel for Worship Arts ministry participants to be encouraged by their efforts
• to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to Worship Arts ministry members and further refine their craft
• to encourage collaboration, cooperative creation of new ideas, and share past experiences among members
• to provide a channel for Worship Arts ministry members to give feedback and be encouraged by the feedback that is not necessarily directed at them
• to lovingly suggest ways to improve methods, techniques, and ways to worship God

Guidelines

In light of these goals, when you comment, please make sure that what you say will meet our goals. Check this list every time you post:

• Is your comment edifying? Remember that others will read this, and we want to build a community that encourages.
• Is your comment clear? Check your comment to ensure it cannot be misread, received as offensive, insensitive, or unloving. Reword if necessary.
• Is your comment useful? Be specific about what was good or not-so-good. Offer suggestions for improvement. Be thoughtful, not judgemental.
• Determine if your comment is dealing with a root issue (distracted, playing too loud, issues of the heart, monitor levels, etc). It may be better to speak privately with the individual.
